Sail America is a sailing industry trade group composed of 652 varied members that include individuals, sailing schools, marine service providers, boat manufacturers, charter companies, and sailboat dealers. To fulfill their mission statement, To promote the growth of the sailing industry, the association has put together an interesting website called Discover Sailing.
The Discover Sailing site in broken into several areas of interest:
- Sailing Fundamentals - Elements include an introduction to sailing, sailing safety tips, a list of sailing schools, and an internet based learning library.
- Sailing Charters - Listings of companies that offer both bareboat and charter services. A chartered sailing vacation can offer cruising through world-class destinations and hands-on learning to go along with the experience.
- Directory Services - Searchable databases of dealers, charters, manufacturers, schools, and vessels for sale.
